March 24 – Thursday: Eric Forsyth’s film “Fiona Challenges the Northwest Passage”
This one-hour video depicts Eric’s sailboat Fiona’s eleven-month circumnavigation of North America starting from Long Island, NY, through the Northwest Passage and down to the Panama Canal and home through the Windward Passage.
Dinner at 6:00 p.m., social at 7:30 p.m.. Parlour Restaurant, 250 West 86th Street just off of Broadway. Take #1 train to 86th

April 21 – Thursday: Nicole Maher, The Nature Conservancy
Our Advisor, Sally Small, has used her “From the Advisor” column (p. 2) to give us an overview of this organization’s most noteworthy and timely mission. Check it out. We are so pleased that we can help them spread the word.

Columbus Day Rendezvous – October 9th thru 11th – Annapolis, MD
Tentative – If there is enough interest we are considering doing a club trip to Annapolis to attend the U.S. Sailboat Show which in my view is the best all
sailboat show in the country.  Anyone interested should contact me ASAP so we can look into tickets, accomodations etc.

Oyster Bay Oyster Festival – October 16th and 17th – Sagamore Yacht Club
For those intersested, we are considering an “off the schedule” overnight to the Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay.  Laurette and I have done this before and had a
great time.  Anyone who has attended this event before may recall that going by boat is the only feasible way since the town is literally gridlocked during
this particular weekend. Again, anyone interested should contact me ASAP.

Labor Day Rendezvous – September 4th thru 6th – Liberty Landing, NJ
Boats depart Saturday, September 4th.  In order to sail with the current in our favor we need to leave or be passing City Island between 6 and 9 AM.
Corinthian Day Sail on Sunday, September 5th (around 11 AM) followed by dinner – TBD.  Directions including public transportation/ferry service will be send
under seperate cover.  Sail home Monday, September 6th departing no later than 6 AM or after 2 PM.

Annual Picnic – September 11th – South Minneford Yacht Club, City Island
2 PM - 6 PM on the South Pier (blue awning).  Anyone wishing to come by boat and stay overnight in a transient slip should contact South Minneford at
