The NY Sailing Club will be celebrating 40 continuous years of activity in 2010. We are proud to mention that the NYSC is the:
- longest running sailing club in NYC (since 1970),
- that we have organized events all year long including: raftups, sailing, racing, and meetings with New York area guest lecturers… and,
- our members either own their own boats and are looking for others to sail with them, or they don’t own boats and they want to crew for other members.
The New York Sailing Club is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1970 which promotes, organizes and oversees sailboat activities, including racing in and around New York City and on the Long Island Sound. We are recreational sailors who hold socials and cooperate with other organizations to encourage and promote the sport of sailing. The New York Sailing Club is a virtual club with no owned facilities but with many yacht club and social organization affiliations located within the in the NYC Metro area.
